Daniel Goldberg began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu path in 2013 under Professor Heath Chapman of East Carolina Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Winterville, North Carolina (affiliated with Robson Moura Nations United). Daniel has been training at Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stapleton ever since moving to Denver in 2016. Off the mats, Daniel is a university professor, hired at the university medical campus for his expertise in curriculum development and teaching.
Having received his Purple Belt in the spring 2018, Danny (as he is known around the Academy, although he prefers “The Dark Knight”), is leveraging his professional experience and expertise to build a training curriculum in leglocks and lower body submissions by integrating the unique and extremely effective approaches and techniques taught by Professor John Danaher and Professor Don Westman in particular. Although Danny specializes in leglocks and in the entire ashi garami (“leg entanglement”) game, he also has a passion for teaching BJJ fundamentals to beginners and for encouraging their growth and progression in “the gentle art.”
Daniel Goldberg is a professional teacher and aspires to establish that best practices in teaching and learning apply equally in the classroom and on the mats. Danny is honored to work with the amazing members of Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stapleton as he continues his own journey with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
